Meet PM Spirits: The Boutique Importer Powering Our 2025 Opus Xodus

If you love spirits with soul, you’re going to love our 2025 Opus Xodus partner: PM Spirits. Based in Brooklyn, PM Spirits is a small, obsessive team that hunts down singular, artisan-made distillates and brings them to the U.S. They don’t just import; they collaborate with producers, build brands, and help craft everything from packaging to go-to-market—always with quality over quantity at the center.

What PM Spirits Stands For

PM Spirits treats great booze like great wine: as an expression of place, people, and method. Their portfolio champions producers whose work reflects terroir and tradition—spirits that are delightfully delicious, distractingly daring, or both. Their guiding principle is disarmingly simple: if they wouldn’t drink it, they won’t sell it.

The Story & The Vision

Founded by Nicolas Palazzi, PM Spirits began with a deep passion for Cognac and grew into a broader mission: find authentic distillates with true character and get them into the hands of bartenders and curious drinkers across the country. The team is known for elevating artisanal brandy—and other small-batch categories—by championing independent producers over mass-market blends.

PM Spirits Projects: One-Off Bottlings with a Cellar Brain

Beyond importing, PM runs PM Spirits Projects—limited bottlings sourced through long-standing relationships, often matured or finished in distinctive casks. Originating from a cellar in France’s Charente, these releases study age, wood, and old-school technique while letting the spirit itself sing. Expect singular casks, honest proofs, and zero shortcuts.

A Portfolio Built on Craft (and Curiosity)

PM Spirits’ national book regularly features names beloved by enthusiasts—Armagnac from L’Encantada and Château de Léberon, vintage single-casks from historic houses, immaculate Calvados from Roger Groult, brilliant fruit eaux-de-vie from Capreolus, and more. It’s a portfolio that rewards exploration and transparency, with tech sheets for deep-divers.

They also collaborate on agave: PM Spirits Project Tequila uses 100% estate-grown Blue Weber and keeps flavor front-and-center with honest bottling strengths and additive-free production.

Why PM Spirits + Opus Xodus Makes Sense

Opus Xodus is about celebrating craftsmanship and community. PM Spirits embodies both. Their team works directly with producers, favors small lots over big marketing, and sweats every detail—from oak choices to proofing—to deliver spirits that taste like where they’re from and who made them. That’s exactly the ethos we champion at The Tobacconist of Greenwich: pair meaningful stories with meticulous craft.

Where to Start (A Few Paths In)

  • Terroir-first brandies: Explore vintage and cask-strength Armagnac for complexity that rivals fine whisky.

  • Calvados with pedigree: Roger Groult offers benchmark apple brilliance across age statements.

  • Crystal-clear fruit: Capreolus eaux-de-vie show fruit in high definition—pure, precise, unforgettable.

  • Limited project drops: Watch for PM Spirits Projects—often single-cask, transparently bottled, and gone fast.
