San Cristobal Golden Hour Bonito
San Cristobal Golden Hour Bonito Bonito — beautiful, handsome, lovely — is the word Spanish speakers reach for when something is exactly as it should
San Cristobal Golden Hour Angelico
The lancero-style format — long, narrow, box-pressed — is the choice of the aficionado who understands that a cigar's character develops across time, not just across a ring gauge. At 7 inches and 49 ring gauge, the Angelico is the most elongated vitola in the Golden Hour lineup: the cigar that extends the session into the full duration of the hour the collection is named for, that delivers the blend's progression through a longer arc, that asks for the kind of unhurried attention that the golden hour itself demands. Angelico — angelic — is the word San Cristobal chose for this format, and it fits: there is something elevated about a 7-inch box-pressed cigar with an Ecuador Habano Rosado wrapper, smoked at the pace the light requires.
The Garcia Family Blend
Produced at My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua, the Golden Hour blend represents the Garcia family's engagement with the "Cubanesque" tradition: the aromatic, cedar-forward profile that defined the great Cuban tobaccos, interpreted through Nicaraguan materials grown on the Garcia's own farms. Condega brings a natural sweetness; Estelí the spice and body that Nicaraguan tobacco is known for; Jalapa the smooth, complex depth that makes the blend develop rather than simply burn; Namanji the connecting tissue that holds the profile together. The Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper introduces the final element — a leaf grown from Cuban seed in Ecuador's volcanic soil, carrying the aromatic character of its lineage into a form that performs across the Angelico's full 7-inch length.
The Long Format / Box-Pressed
The 49 ring gauge at 7 inches produces a specific kind of draw: focused and consistent, the tobacco packed tighter than a wider ring gauge, delivering the blend's flavors in a more concentrated stream. The box-press at this size is a particular pleasure — the flat sides of the cigar sitting in the fingers differently than a round vitola, the burn rate slightly more controlled, the experience of the cigar's full length as a deliberate journey rather than a cruise. Cedar, cinnamon, coffee bean, molasses, and spice, across the longest expression the Golden Hour offers.
