Description
Ferio Tego Summa Gordo is a traditional “core” offering. Initially launched in four thoughtful formats, Ferio Tego Summa will be made in ongoing productions throughout the year. The Ferio Tego Summa joins the brand’s flagship annual limited releases Elegancia and Generoso. Packed in hinged boxes of ten cigars, the Ferio Tego Summa adds a wider brand presence and reinforces the strength of the Ferio Tego brand.
“The word summa means a ‘comprehensive work’, a ‘summary or a synthesis of the body of work’ thus far. Ferio Tego Summa is a blend that embodies the diversity and complexity of the Ferio Tego Portfolio. Incredibly complex, with a velvety texture, and a unique story to tell, each Ferio Tego Summa vitola has been crafted in such a way that tells a unique version of the story. The Summa blend highlights the incredible trifecta of body, flavor and intensity… and maximizes those levels with wonderful balance.” – Michael Herklots, co-owner Ferio Tego.
Ferio Tego Summa is made in the Dominican Republic, with an exceptional blend of tobaccos from three countries. The wrapper is an Ecuador grown corojo wrapper, followed by an Ecuador grown Sumatra binder. The double Ecuador influence enhances the silky mouth feel and finish. The fillers combine Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, balancing the relationship leaf position and aging to lead with flavor and body and mitigate strength and ferocity. The initial four formats are Corona Gorda, Robusto, Torpedo, and Gordo. Each format is offered in hinged, Okume boxes of ten cigars.
Blender’s Notes:
The Ferio Tego Summa is an abundant cigar that is full flavored and full bodied with an intensity that is present, but graceful. The flavors are structured in such a way that creates a subtle but relentless crescendo of flavor and complexity without becoming overbearing. The velvety mouth feel preserves a lingering finish that skews towards a darker style of flavors but is complimented by a an underlying buttery that adds a touch of levity to the blend.
