La Flor Dominicana (LFD) Carbon Flower is what happens when two brands that build from the ground up decide to build something together.
La Flor Dominicana works with soil, tobacco, and fire. Project Carbon works with carbon fiber, structure, and precision. Different materials—same mindset. The goal from the start was simple: create something that neither brand could achieve on its own.
The result is a cigar and a case designed together. Not one built around the other. Every detail—from the weight in your hand to the density of the smoke—was meant to reflect the same idea: structure, texture, presence.
The Blend
Carbon Flower is built around Mexican San Andrés tobacco in both the wrapper and binder positions—a leaf known for its natural sweetness, density, and depth. Grown in mineral-rich volcanic soil, San Andrés delivers a dark, rich profile with structure and weight. Paired with La Canela estate-grown Dominican fillers from LFD's own farms, the result is a cigar that feels grounded, dense, and intentional from the first draw to the last.
The Flavor Experience
Opening: Dense, rich smoke with immediate notes of dark cocoa, molasses sweetness, and black coffee. The texture is thick and coating from the first draw.
Mid-Profile: The cigar settles into a balance of earth, espresso, and bittersweet chocolate. Subtle spice sits underneath, while the natural sweetness of the San Andrés continues to build.
Final Third: Flavors deepen into dark roast coffee, charred wood, and dark chocolate. The body stays full, with a long, lingering finish that carries both richness and structure.
Finish: Full, heavy, and layered with a lasting cocoa sweetness and deep espresso backbone.
Strength: Full (5 of 5)
The Case
The custom carbon fiber case isn't just packaging—it's a functional design object meant to be kept. Durable, portable, and built with the same precision that defines the Project Carbon brand. Dark carbon fiber tones, symmetrical design, modern feel. This is a case that goes wherever you go.
The Collaboration
Tony Gomez of La Flor Dominicana: "We loved this collaboration from day one. Project Carbon is a beautiful brand that I've always admired. The cigar had to be something unique to the project and made for a special challenge. Carbon is solid, it is textured, and it looms with a sort of ominous presence. We took those characteristics and translated them into a blend that we think perfectly hits the mark."
Alan Shea of Project Carbon: "Not all collabs work, but this one does. The Carbon Flower case embodies the Project Carbon aesthetics of dark carbon fiber tones, a symmetrical design, and modern feel. I think the aesthetic translated perfectly to the cigar both visually and in the blend."
Carbon Flower will debut at the 2026 PCA Convention & Trade Show in New Orleans (April 18–20). Production is limited to 1,500 cases of 5.
