La Flor Dominicana Reserva Especial Toro — the legendary El Jocko blend that made LFD famous, reimagined in a 6" x 54 Toro format. Ecuador Connecticut wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and estate-grown Dominican Piloto Cubano filler.
The Reserva Especial carries a piece of LFD history — this is the same blend as El Jocko, the cigar that put La Flor Dominicana on the map nearly three decades ago. Where most Connecticut-wrapped cigars play it safe, the Reserva Especial delivers genuine complexity and strength that challenges expectations.
The Blend
Flawless Ecuador Connecticut wrapper — light tan with a subtle oily sheen — surrounds Nicaraguan binder and estate-grown Dominican Piloto Cubano long-filler. The combination creates a cigar that starts smooth and builds steadily, rewarding those who take their time.
The Experience
From first light, cashew and natural sweetness dominate. As the cigar develops, caramel and molasses emerge alongside cedar and faint florals. The middle third brings licorice and red pepper through the retrohale, while leather and wood linger on the finish. The final third sees complexity at its peak — woodsy, nutty, and satisfying.
Construction is flawless. The burn runs razor-sharp. The draw sits exactly where it should. This is LFD craftsmanship at its finest.
The Format
The 6" x 54 Toro delivers the ideal balance between smoke time and flavor concentration — expect 75 to 90 minutes of medium-full pleasure without overwhelming intensity.
The Legacy
Litto Gomez introduced this blend in the 1990s, and it earned La Flor Dominicana its reputation for crafting cigars that defy convention. The Reserva Especial proves that Connecticut wrappers can deliver power, complexity, and sophistication in equal measure.
