S.T. Dupont Line 2 Havana Dreams — Touring Cuba
Cuba froze at a particular moment. The classic American cars — Chevrolets, Buicks, Plymouths — that filled Havana's streets in the 1950s stayed there, maintained and driven for decades after the world moved on, becoming the island's most photographed symbol. They were ordinary transport that became extraordinary time capsule. The Touring Cuba lighter puts those cars exactly where they belong: on Havana's Malecón, the coastal boulevard, where the Caribbean meets a city that exists outside of ordinary time.
Printed Lacquer / The Scene
S.T. Dupont's printed lacquer technique allows the Maison to render color and scene with a fidelity that conventional engraving cannot achieve. On the Touring Cuba lighter, the front panel depicts classic automobiles on Havana's coastline beneath palm trees, with colonial architecture in the background — a scene that captures the particular quality of late-afternoon light in a tropical city where nothing moves too fast. The Cuban flag on the reverse adds the official emblem of the country: the star, the stripes, the red triangle. Together, front and back, the lighter is a complete image of Cuba — the street that anyone who has been there remembers, and the flag that tells you where you are.
Yellow Gold / Micro-Diamond Guilloché
The artwork is framed in yellow gold finish with the micro-diamond head guilloché that defines the Line 2's surface vocabulary. The tiny pyramid facets of the guilloché pattern organize the frame around the lacquer panel, their warmth and texture giving the object its physical richness. The Line 2's proportions — 62 × 37 × 11mm — are unchanged: compact, pocketable, the right weight in the hand.
The Perfect Ping
Opening the Touring Cuba lighter produces S.T. Dupont's Perfect Ping — the resonant acoustic snap that defines the Line 2 and has defined it since its introduction. The ping arrives before the flame, marking the moment of opening with the sound that collectors recognize and connoisseurs return to. A U.S. exclusive, introduced at the 2026 PCA Trade Show.
