Byron 175 Tribute Set — four distinct expressions commemorating 175 years of Byron legacy. Grand Poemas, Habaneros, Elegantes, and 1850 No. 3, each presented in its own precision-machined aluminum tube. Minimum four years post-roll aging. Rolled in Costa Rica with Ecuadorian wrapper over Dominican, Peruvian, and Nicaraguan tobaccos.
The Byron 175 Tribute Set commemorates nearly two centuries of the Alfonso family's cigar-making tradition — from Jose and Eusebio Alfonso's original workshop in Cuba to Nelson Alfonso's modern revival at Tabacos de Costa Rica. This is not a sampler. It is a chronicle, told in tobacco.
Four Expressions. Four Generations.
Each cigar represents a chapter in Byron's evolution:
Byron 19th Century Grand Poemas (6" x 56) — The foundation. Honoring the original 1850s Cuban blend that launched a legacy.
Byron 20th Century Habaneros (6" x 54) — The bridge. Capturing the tradition that carried Byron through decades of transformation.
Byron 21st Century Elegantes (6⅛" x 55) — The modern expression. Nelson Alfonso's vision for Byron in the contemporary era.
Byron 1850 No. 3 (6" x 52) — The tribute. Created specifically to honor 175 years since Byron's founding.
Collector's Presentation
Each cigar arrives in its own precision-machined, cosmetic-grade aluminum tube — protection worthy of tobacco aged this long. The set is designed for both the smoker and the collector.
The Aging
Selected Tobacco's proprietary maturation process sets Byron apart from nearly every cigar on the market. These cigars carry a minimum of four years post-roll aging, utilizing controlled humidity cycles and multiple cedar varietals. The result is a refinement and smoothness that simply cannot be rushed.
The Blend
Rolled by hand at Tabacos de Costa Rica in Santiago de Puriscal, the Byron 175 Tribute Set features Ecuadorian wrapper over select Dominican, Peruvian, and Nicaraguan long-fillers. Medium-bodied with layered complexity — cedar, nut, spice, leather, and cream.
Strictly Limited
This is an extremely limited collector's release. No additional production is planned. Available exclusively through appointed Byron merchants.
