San Cristobal Golden Hour — named for the moment when daylight and dusk converge, when the sun casts its final, richest light across the horizon. The newest addition to the San Cristobal portfolio, Golden Hour delivers a "Cubanesque" profile that rewards the smoker who understands timing.
Handcrafted by father-and-son master blenders José "Pepín" Garcia and Jaime Garcia at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, Golden Hour features an Ecuador Habano Rosado wrapper cultivated in the nutrient-rich soil at the foot of the Andes. Beneath it lies a Nicaraguan binder and a complex blend of long-filler tobaccos harvested exclusively from the Garcia family farms in four distinct growing regions: Condega, Estelí, Jalapa, and Namanji.
The result is a medium-full smoke with layered notes of cedar, cinnamon, coffee bean, molasses, and spice — familiar enough to feel classic, distinct enough to stand apart. Construction is flawless throughout, as expected from the Garcia factory.
Golden Hour is offered in six vitolas. Four are box-pressed — Magico, Bonito, Angelico, and the torpedo-shaped Dorado — delivering a concentrated, focused draw. The two largest ring gauges — Ocaso and Pacifico — are traditional parejos, offering a cooler, more expansive smoke.
Available now at The Tobacconist of Greenwich.
