Over more than 40 years at Davidoff, he shaped the brand's most celebrated releases — including the iconic Davidoff Oro Blanco, a $500-per-cigar flagship that bore his personal signature on every stick. He worked alongside industry legends Hendrik Kelner and Zino Davidoff himself, creating over 3,400 different blends across the Davidoff, Avo, Camacho, Zino, Griffin's, and Paul Garmirian portfolios.

The Legacy

Diaz learned his craft starting at age seven, sweeping floors at a small factory called La Diana owned by his mentor Don Pancho. He rose through the ranks at Davidoff to become Head of Production and Quality Control, personally approving cigars before they reached the market. In late 2021, after his illustrious career at Davidoff, Diaz established Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera — a small, family-run factory where he works alongside his wife and three sons. As Diaz says, "You don't need a big kitchen to make a great cigar, just the right ingredients."
