Stefano Ricci SR Octagon Porcelain Ashtray — Flying Eagle / Gold
When Stefano Ricci organizes a cigar table — humidor, lighter, cutter, ashtray — the ashtray is the piece that stays in the center of the surface for the entire session. It does not return to a pocket; it does not move to the side when the cigar is lit. It holds its position from the first draw to the last. Stefano Ricci places its house emblem at the center of that position: the Flying Eagle on fine porcelain with gold details, at 25 × 25 cm, with four brass cigar rests — the piece that the room looks at while the cigars are being smoked.
The Flying Eagle
The Flying Eagle motif occupies the porcelain surface as it occupies every Stefano Ricci object it appears on — with authority and without apology. Gold details are the correct finish for the emblem: the eagle and gold are paired across the Maison's output with the same consistency that the combination has maintained across centuries of decorative use. On an ashtray at this scale the image is in view across the table — legible from a distance and detailed on close inspection.
Octagonal Format / 4 Cigar Rests
The octagonal format at 25 × 25 cm gives the ashtray the scale to serve as a true table centerpiece. Four brass cigar rests accommodate four cigars simultaneously — this is a piece for a smoking session that includes company, for the kind of table around which cigars are shared and conversations are unhurried. The octagonal perimeter defines the space the piece occupies with the same intention as the emblem at its center.
Brass Cigar Rests / Gold Finishing
The four brass cigar rests are finished in gold — the same finishing as the ashtray's decorative details, consistent with the gold throughout the piece. They hold cigars at the correct angle and elevation, protecting the porcelain surface and keeping each cigar accessible and secure between draws.
