The Rhino

The Rhino motif is rendered on the porcelain surface with the directness the animal warrants — a subject defined by mass and texture rather than elegance, and rendered accordingly. Palladium finishing is correct for the rhino: cool, precise, and aligned with the grey tonal character of the animal itself. The motif sits at the center of a 25 × 25 cm octagonal surface where it is in view for the full length of a session.
