Elie Bleu Emblem Collection Humidor — Redgum
The Emblem Collection starts with a question about the Elie Bleu logo — and answers it in wood. The logo's diamond geometry, which has identified the brand since its founding in 1976, becomes the layout principle for the veneer placement on every humidor in the collection: the exotic wood panels arranged in a specific pattern that mirrors the emblem itself, the grain flowing from the lid down the sides in an extension of the logo's form rather than a departure from it. The idea is elegant in its simplicity — the brand's identity is not just on the humidor, it is expressed through the humidor's construction.
Redgum / The Australian Grain
Redgum — sourced from the eucalyptus forests of Australia — is a wood of warm, shifting tones. Its color ranges from reddish-amber to deep orange-brown, and its interlocked grain produces a natural ribbon figure that moves across the surface as the viewing angle changes, the wood appearing almost luminous under direct light. No two Redgum panels produce exactly the same figure. Elie Bleu selects each veneer for the continuity of its grain across the lid and sides, a process that requires considerable sorting before a single humidor is assembled. The result is an exterior that is, by nature, unique to each piece.
The Emblem / Construction
Inside, the construction follows the standard of Elie Bleu's Faubourg Saint-Antoine workshop: Spanish cedar lining throughout, two humidifiers for balanced, even humidification across the full 110-cigar capacity, an analog needle hygrometer for precise humidity monitoring, and two removable cedar dividers for flexible organization. The lock-and-key closure maintains the controlled environment the Spanish cedar creates. Eight coats of fine varnish finish the exterior, protecting the Redgum's surface without obscuring its grain. The Emblem Collection is regular production — available as a standing offering rather than a limited run.
