Elie Bleu Emblem Collection Humidor — Santos Rosewood

The Emblem Collection begins with a relationship between a logo and a material. Elie Bleu's diamond emblem — the brand's identifying mark since 1976 — dictates the veneer layout on every humidor in the collection: the panels arranged not at random but in a specific geometric pattern derived from the logo's form, the grain flowing from the lid to the sides as an extension of the emblem rather than incidental to it. In Santos Rosewood, that geometric intention meets a wood whose own visual weight is considerable — and the result is a humidor whose presence on a desk or shelf requires no explanation.

Santos Rosewood / The Brazilian Grain

Santos Rosewood — Machaerium scleroxylon — is a dense Brazilian wood whose color and figure place it firmly in the rosewood tradition: deep chocolate browns, purplish undertones, the darker streaking that runs through the grain and gives the surface its depth and visual movement. It is a wood that reads as serious in the way that serious rosewood always has — the same gravity and warmth that made the rosewood tradition central to fine furniture and instrument-making for centuries. Elie Bleu's veneer selection ensures the grain continues across the lid-to-side transitions, the pattern of the material reinforcing the pattern of the logo beneath it.

The Emblem / Construction

The interior is Spanish cedar throughout: the material that has defined proper humidor construction for generations, regulating humidity naturally while contributing to the long-term development of the cigars stored within. Two humidifiers maintain the controlled environment; an analog needle hygrometer monitors it. Two removable cedar dividers allow the 110-cigar capacity to be configured as the collection demands. Eight coats of fine varnish protect the Santos Rosewood exterior. Lock and key closure. The Emblem Collection is regular production — a standing offering from the Faubourg Saint-Antoine workshop.
