Elie Bleu Fire Horse C-4 Cigar Cutter
The cut precedes everything. Before the lighter, before the first draw, before the ashtray receives the first inch of ash — the cutter determines the quality of what follows. A poor cut leaves torn tobacco, a restricted draw, a compromised experience. The Elie Bleu C-4 does not leave a poor cut: two Japanese surgical-grade stainless steel blades on a spring-loaded guillotine mechanism, meeting at the center of the cigar's cap with enough precision to make the cut clean and enough force to make it complete in a single motion. In the Fire Horse edition, the black lacquer carries the Bing Wu image in a limited run of 288 pieces — the cutter that belongs to the set.
C-4 / Black Lacquer / Fire Horse
The C-4 double blade guillotine cutter is Elie Bleu's flagship cutter format. The two blades — one fixed, one spring-loaded — approach the cap from opposite sides simultaneously, cutting symmetrically and preventing the tobacco from being compressed or torn in the process. The 22mm cutting opening accommodates cigars up to 62 ring gauge: the range that covers the full spectrum of the standard repertoire. To use the cutter, you place the cap of the cigar between the blades and press downward; the top blade glides down its track and meets the lower blade cleanly. The black lacquer finish, resistant to the conditions of pocket carry, carries the Fire Horse design that connects the C-4 to the J-12 and J-15 in the collection's accessories tier. All three are limited to 288 pieces; all three are black lacquer on the same theme.
22mm Opening / 62 Ring Gauge
The practical specification is the opening: 22mm, translating to 62 ring gauge. Everything up to that measurement — from the slimmest panatela to the broadest gran toro in the humidor — passes through the C-4 correctly and comes out cleanly cut. The dimensions of the cutter itself (65 × 44.5 × 7.9 mm) keep it pocket-sized: present when needed, out of the way when not.
