My Father La Lealtad Torpedo Box-Pressed — the box-pressed torpedo expression of the García family's second Honduran release. 6½" × 52 ring gauge. Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro Rosado wrapper over a double binder of Honduran and Nicaraguan leaf, with Honduran and Nicaraguan long-filler.
The Blend
The box-pressed shape changes how the filler tobaccos burn, creating a slightly different draw and flavor progression than the round vitolas. Wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro Rosado, with a double binder of Honduran and Nicaraguan leaf and long-filler from both countries grown at Finca La Opulencia.
The Profile
Medium to full-bodied. The torpedo tip concentrates flavor from the first draw, while the box-pressing adds a slightly cooler, more even burn. Notes of coffee bean, cocoa, leather, red pepper, and nutmeg develop throughout, with earthy undertones and a hint of raisin. The extra half-inch of length gives this vitola room to evolve.
The Legacy
La Lealtad signifies a family legacy rooted in loyalty and tradition. The Torpedo Box-Pressed is for smokers who appreciate what box-pressing brings to a blend — and who want a little more time with the tobacco.
