Extremely Rare, Never Released
The word Mundano, in the Spanish language, translates to worldly. Inspiration for this blend was taken from decades of travel by Davidoff Master blender Eladio Diaz discovering the many flavors of the world. Inspired by nature and its influence on a culture, the people and cuisine.
Davidoff’s skilled and passionate team used this inspiration to develop special hybrid seeds creating new tobacco in multiple regions of the Dominican Republic, combined with tobacco from Nicaragua and Mexico, to create Davidoff Mundano.
Davidoff Mundano is a cigar developed over the past 5 years that uses inspiration from various countries to create a blend focused on our connection to nature. The team sought to develop new proprietary hybrid seeds never used before. Grown in different regions of the Dominican Republic, combined with some of the best tobacco grown around the world.
Together our Master blender and master ergronomist specially designed a unique hybrid ‘253’ seed wrapper. The seed number signifies a tobacco of the best quality, along with a hybrid ‘124’ seed Seco from the Damajagua region and a hybrid ‘A’ Visus within the filler tobacco.
Tasting Notes
1/3 – Woody notes present themselves immediately. Notes of black coffee, leather and earth with some cinnamon spice. Palate is primarily stimulated in the bitter and spicy region. The aroma is subtle and creamy releasing notes of walnut.
2/3 – Stimulation continues in the spice and bitter region, where notes of wood and coffee dominate. Cinnamon spice is still around, but it is now a little more subtle. retro-hale has become spicier, a bit fuller, still with nutty spice, notes of tropical dried fruit and some vanilla in the aroma.
3/3 – Coffee notes become creamy, still with notes of wood and cinnamon spice. Leather notes appear more in the aroma complimented with flavors of salted caramel. Stimulation continues to be in the bitter and spice region.
