S.T. Dupont Biggy Lighter — Monogram 1872, Burgundy
The Biggy is not the Twiggy and it is not the Line 2. It occupies a different position in the S.T. Dupont format range: wider than the Twiggy at 39mm, shorter and broader than either of its siblings, with a 2 cm torch flame rather than the 1 cm of the Twiggy or the Ping of the Line 2. It is the cigar lighter of the collection — the format that delivers a wider, more powerful flame, matched to the kind of cigar that warrants that flame. In the Monogram 1872 collection, the Biggy carries the founding logo on a body built for use.
Monogram 1872 / Burgundy and Gold
Craftsmanship in metal and the art of lacquer showcase the expertise of S.T. Dupont in the Monogram 1872 collection. The pieces are, as the Maison describes them, well-rooted in their time — and all feature the new S.T. Dupont logo, upright, determined, and proud. On the Biggy in burgundy and gold, the founding logo occupies a broader surface than it does on the Twiggy — the body's width gives the Monogram 1872 pattern more room to read, the decoration spread across a lacquer ground that has always carried ceremony well. Burgundy is the color that connects the founding motif to the traditions of the table: the warmest expression in the trio, the most associative with the rituals the lighter serves.
2 cm Torch Flame / The Biggy Format
The 2 cm torch flame of the Biggy is the lighter's defining specification. A wider flame than the Twiggy's, it is suited to ring gauges that require a longer light — the larger cigars, the ceremonial choices, the ones that take the most care to start correctly. At 73.09 × 39 × 13.60 mm and 103g, the Biggy sits differently in the hand than the Twiggy: shorter, wider, more substantial. The heft is appropriate to the purpose. Gas refill sold separately. Personalization available up to three characters.
